Welcome to the Accelerant Detection Canine Program Wish List for Yolo County.
Magnum was purchased from Canine Academy Training Center in Austin , Tx . He is a 2 year old Lab. Magnum is currently trained in accelerant detection. Magnum became a member of the Esparto Volunteer Fire Department in April of 2008.
As a volunteer department we have very little money to improve our K9 program. I’m currently using your products for training and was wondering if your company would be interested in making a donation of product.
In 2006 there were over 100 arson fires in Yolo County . Damage in 2006 was estimated to be in the upper millions. The Esparto Volunteer Fire Department is committed to the preventing loss of life and property. Yolo County Fire Departments provide aggressive investigation and criminal prosecution. This goal can be enhanced with the implementation of the Accelerant Detection Canine to address today’s arson threat to the general public and to assist the Fire Investigator in the collection of field samples for lab analysis. This program will help all Investigations County wide.
Thank you for your time,
Assistant Fire Chief
