Adopt a Book Buddy

On February 3rd, we will be celebrating National Take Your Child to the Library Day. We will be giving out library activity booklets, doing a book worm craft and writing prompts, and handing out snacks. We would also like to include a Adopt a Book Buddy as a part of an incentive to bring families into the library. Every child that attends will be able to "Adopt" a book buddy (stuffed bear) and will receive a certificate of adoption from the library with their buddy's adoption date and name that each child gives to their new friend. We will encourage kids to grab their buddy during reading time, which makes reading more special to each child.
