The Back to School Bash - Union County (B2SB-UC) had it's inaugural event on August 2, 2014 and served over 4000 people at the Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, NC. Participants registered to receive backpacks, school supplies, shoes and socks, haircuts and food. Over 1400 students attended and B2SB has already begun planning for the event. Each year we have grown in numbers, providing new school supplies for students, shoes, free hair cuts, eye screenings (partnership with our local Lions Club) and a snack on the day of the event.^~^We bring good cheer to Marines! This project is to help boost morale when depression and suicidal ideation is at its highest. Stocking filled with goodies, snacks, basic hygiene and well wishes from our community. We are aiming to pack 1000 stockings for the Marines this 2022 season.
