Pokémon Go is the latest trend, and it has been sweeping the nation with haste. It’s estimated to have 9.5 million active users each day, and players range in ages from young children to senior citizens. It’s safe to say, this Pokémon Go craze is popular among all age groups and will likely remain trendy for quite some time. The question is, how can you as a retailer cash in on this trend and catch more customers?

Create a Pokémon Go Account

With the rise of interest in Pokémon Go, more people are out and about, wandering the streets than ever before. For urban businesses, this offers a lot of potential for bringing new clients to your store. To start, you’ll have to create a Pokémon Go account. Pokémon Go has a free mobile app that can be downloaded directly to your smartphone.

Check Your Area for PokéStops and Gyms

In the game, Pokémon has already established a variety of outdoor locations that are known as PokéStops and Gyms. PokéStops are places where users go to catch Pokémon and collect PokéBalls. Gyms are places where users gather to battle other Pokémon. Check your app to gain a sense of all the nearest PokéStops and Gyms in your area, so you can know where foot traffic will be heaviest throughout the day. You can use these high-traffic areas as marketing locations by posting signs, flyers, or other marketing materials that will draw people to your business.

Summer is flying by, and it’s just a few more weeks before the new school year begins. There is no time more chaotic in the life of a teacher than those first couple weeks back. Not only can it be a challenge to get yourself back into your daily routine, but the children are often bouncing off the walls from their summer away. Here are some tips to brace yourself for the back-to-school frenzy, so things can feel a little calmer and the transition is a bit more seamless.

Create a Back-to-School Checklist

There are so many tasks required to sufficiently prepare for school, it can be difficult to stay on top of everything. Prepare a checklist in advance to ensure nothing is left out. This will help you map out all of your classroom responsibilities, so you’ll be more prepared come the first day of school.

It is estimated that roughly 7.6 million companion pets end up in animal shelters every year. While the exact number is unknown, there are thought to be about 70 million homeless and feral cats roaming the streets at any given time. Of those animals that end up in shelters, about 2.7 million are euthanized each year. As you can imagine, animal shelters are in over their heads trying to cater to the homeless animal population, while adopting out as many as possible. In summertime, they are even busier and need the help of volunteers and donors more than ever.

Why Are Animal Shelters So Much Busier in the Summer?

Animal shelters often find themselves much busier in the summertime than winter, and the reasons for this vary considerably. Here are some of the top contributing factors.
