IDV Care and Share Ministry

During the month of December, the holidays are with children and adults (especially our senior adults) in situations where they are separated from their homes and families due to sicknesses, injuries, and/or incapacitating diseases. We foresaw these situations as an opportunity to serve those in our community through our church ministry (Care and Share) by offering an ambiance of love and sharing through gifts and fellowship. Therefore, we established an event where church members including our youths visit the local hospital (pediatric unit, intensive-care family waiting area, coronary-care family waiting area) and the hospital's local transitional and long-term care facilities to deliver gifts, treats, and the love of Christ on Christmas Day. Therefore, we are in need of personal care items, fuzzy socks, stuffed animals (teddy bears), packaged toys, games, books for ages 0-18 (boys and girls).
