We are all volunteers, working with low-income workers who are now mostly unemployed, helping them find testing for COVID-19 and treatment when necessary. We pick up 2-3 tons of food each week and sort and deliver it to households in need, along with sanitary supplies. We have no government funding and rely entirely on support from individuals and businesses. Currently, We need 5-subject notebooks for dozens of volunteers who are working from home, taking calls from people in need and making calls to find testing, treatment , food and sanitary supplies. Our volunteers attend our Zoom meetings , where medical professionals present education on staying safe during the pandemic and on other health topics. They then communicate this education to low-income families by phone and on door-to-door community work. We also need 500 plastic page protectors to put together training manuals for the new volunteers We need 3 dozen flash drives for benefit cases files, etc.^~^We are all volunteers. For 45 years CCMP volunteers have been working with low-income workers to access health care. Many are now unemployed. Since the pandemic began we help them find COVID-19 testing and treatment when needed. We pick up 2 - 3 tons of food each week from produce markets and other donors and sort and distribute the food to households in need. We organize medical professionals to do educational talks, mostly on ZOOM, or in outdoor settings, reminding people how to sanitize their surroundings and how to stay safe during the pandemic and on other health topics. We also distribute sanitary supplies and face masks. We need more donations of these and the other supplies we listed on DollarDays wish list. We have no government funding and rely entirely on community support. We hope you can help.
