Project Help ATL Annual Juneteenth Celebration is a community centered event engaging community stakeholders to serve African-Americans experiencing homelessness in Atlanta who are often overlooked and left behind during a time of celebration and freedom. The event will provide exposure at scale to two important initiatives of Project Help ATL, self sufficiency and public health. Self sufficiency: Project Help will host a “2nd Chance” workforce initiative providing a job fair connecting Atlanta corporations to qualified candidates who may be overlooked during the traditional job search process. Project Help will engage the community by hosting interview and resume prep, professional attire, and streamlined direct hire opportunities. Public Health: Project HELP understands that those experiencing homelessness may lack access to basic services and resources for sustaining a healthy wellbeing. Our Public Health initiative aims to provide necessary hygiene kits, clean clothes and shoes, healthcare screenings and referrals, food, and mobile showers to meet the immediate needs of the community.
