Our students are going to learn with hands-on workshops all about a Cube. It sounds easy, but these are underserved female-identifying students do not like math, and by using “simple” paper and drawing utensils they will see that math is fun and easy. We are taking the flat cube into a 3D cube and using the zoom medium we are going to craft different 3D shapes, just by using the camera. Creating quilts of cube sides and show this in our e-magazine helps the students significantly to increase their personal value and self esteem. Even more important we create content that their parents/caregivers understand and will help them also understand that their student is able to sign up for AP courses or any courses in other sciences as we address all principles of STEM coupled with Art. Over 95% of our female-identifying students we serve are ESL (English as Second Language).
