Summer Respite Care Program

Turning Point is pleased to announce the fourth year of our Summer Respite Program! This program is held 2 days a week at our emergency shelter locations, Delaware and Marion, Ohio. The parent/guardian of the child(ren) can sign their child(ren) into the program from Noon-4p. During respite, staff and volunteers provide a safe, trauma-informed and entertaining environment in our designated children's and teen areas. Parents/guardians can take this time to work on their healing, go to an appointment or whatever they need to do, while their child(ren) are safely supervised by staff and volunteers. During each respite session, staff and volunteers play games both indoors and outdoors (weather pending) as well as provide children with an age-appropriate snack and drink. With generosity of our amazing donors, we have been able to off-set the cost of this MUCH needed program!
