16th Annual Back-To-School Supply Giveaway

In previous years, the School Supply Giveaway program has helped us to provide Escambia County, Florida students with much needed school supplies, backpacks, books, and other necessary educational materials to achieve academic success. This year, since COVID-19 became an enormous burden on the education and health care systems, and placed households and business finances in a tenuous situation, additional items such as: face masks, shields, and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will also be provided to ensure the safest return of our in-person students, staff, and essential personnel. Services will continue to be targeted and provided to students, communities, infants, families, and youth; the underprivileged, underserved, under-represented, low-income residents mostly impacted by COVID-19, within Northwest Florida. Services are conducted on-site and by a Mobile Delivery Unit which extends direct services to the City of Milton, the Town of Century, and throughout the City of Pensacola. Programs promote civic responsibility, positive interaction with peers and authority figures, peaceful conflict resolution, respect for self and others, social growth, and personal development. This is a year-round campaign which began in summer 2005.^~^Truth For Youth, Inc. is a 501(c)3 youth organization founded in 1993 to provide educational, cultural, social, and recreational programs for at-risk youth ages 6-16. Targeted services are provided to underprivileged, underserved, and high poverty communities. Services are conducted on-site and by a Mobile Delivery Unit which extends services to schools, churches, community centers, parks, recreation centers, housing complexes, neighborhoods and other gathering places within Escambia and Sant Rosa counties. Programs promote civic responsibility, positive interaction with peers and authority figures, peaceful conflict resolution, respect for self and others, social growth, and personal development.
